Spec me a CCTV System

Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a single camera that can sit on the window sill, wireless in terms of network connectivity, (but can be mains powered) to watch my car. It's under a street light so well be lit at night time, pan and tilt useful but not essential by any means.

Ideally something can that record 24/7 or at least when the car is parked - I guess I would only need to review footage if something is amiss. Maybe one I can stick an SD card into or buy/build a NAS or similar if not.

Bought a blink xt2 but sent it back.

thats what ive been trying to find (see my last post or 2)

ive just came across this one that records 24/7 to SD card (which i might buy)

I asked the question on , and they say i can record to memory card (256Mb MAX)

had a reply to a question on this one (ive just ordered one myself)

and they say it will record 24/7 etc

if you order NOW you save £10

looks better than the other one tbh

Just come across HikVision's Pyronix range that looks like it would do what you both want
https://www.cctv-global.co.uk/cube-cam28
https://www.cctv-global.co.uk/dome-cam28

Records direct to a SD Card, or to an NFS/SMB network share, power via 12v DC or PoE.

Also integrates with other things including various alarms and sensors

I've got some circle 2 cams, a couple are on Logi, a couple are on HomeKit, all seems to be working fine, but what do you prefer and why? Logi's approach or Apple's approach? I have 2TB iCloud so not a problem with cams here, and I do like Apple's privacy approach, but Logi has some nice features like day summary etc

What software do you guys like ?

well, been playing with the Reolink E1 Zoom (5MP, 3x zoom)

at the moment, i find the image quality worse than the last Reolink I had, most likely because of the 360 degree lens

will try more tomorrow, but for now, i tried it on highest quality 2560x1920 (which dosen't really exist) , tried 1440 (4K) no difference

What are you viewing the image on? Surely you'd need a 1920 screen to see the difference between that and 1440.

surely it should be just as good quality as the 1080p camera, viewing on a 1080p screen ?

I viewed it on my Phone (1080 x 2400) and my Monitor (1920x1080)

Got one of these a couple of days ago, along with a 128GB card. All up and running, but set-up was far from simple. Needed to use ethernet over mains to get it on the network in its intended place and the set-up guide was useless, but the Hikvision iVMS software was useful which isn't referred to anywhere. Once I can fully fly it I will probably configure it record to one of my NAS drives. When I was setting it up I was very impressed with the night vision, but my car is parked almost directly under a street light and it never actually kicks into night-vision mode, it remains in colour 24/7 and looks great.

but i didn't want cloud storage, but i wanted 24/7 recording

best image available, for £50 i cant complain, i can access it anywhere in the world too

can access this anywhere in the world too for £20 for the camera. 720p or £30 for the 1080p version and tbh that is as clear as you need. the 720p was clear enough as it was but the 1080p went 1 level further.

mine cost me £20 iirc. it does all of that and local sd recording or you can pay a sub for cloud recording.
£20 and you got ptz nice
where you get it and what is it?
you probably already said but its a very long thread to go look back through lol
and mines only on motion recording aimed at a low traffic area
so it emails me the clips so no subscription needed :)
thats where a lot of them get you the extra cost if you want the cloud storage
