Spec me a chair please?

I bought a £30 operator chair, but it was poor. The back mechanism broke when I leant back.

office chair/high back/operator/leather/fabric don't mind

If you want the best - you want a Herman Miller Aeron. However, they are not particularly cheap, nor particularly easy to come by in the UK. And you have to get one in your size or they can actually be extremely uncomfortable.

They're very comfy, i'm gonna get some for home when i can.

BTW, don't get any highback chair with plastic arms/legs. i bought 3 from morrisons a while ago, and each one snapped either an arm or a leg, leading to me somersaulting backwards into my guitar stand :(

i cant get that link to work, do you have a product code please

Difficult to help at that price level - maybe get a Volvo or SAAB seat from a scrapyard and mount it on a seat pedestal? They used to sell these at SAAB dealerships and they were lovely. Mind you, if the prices have kept up with inflation, the Aeron is probably cheaper.

If you sit a lot (I sit 6-8 hours a day) then £1000 for a chair is a worthwhile investment in protecting your spine. Have a look at the office chairs in the £80-£100 range in Ikea. They get good ergonomic reviews, but the build quality is nothing to write home about.

thats an idea, theres a scrap yard not far from here, might have to go down and have a look

how much do you think a volvo seat would be?

£25? Maybe a bit more if it's leather. Obviously, you don't want an electric one. Or maybe you do ;)

Got mine from ALDI! :p Was £50 with chrome legs and nice soft leather! I would recommend them if they have any in!

EDIT: My bird says there are some nice ones at the stationary box from around £30
