Yo.

In need of a new chair.

I had a Thunder CORE arrive, but the lumbar support thing stick way too far out and my shoulders don't make any contact. It's really uncomfortable.

Sold it to a mate who's 6ft7 and it fits him perfectly.

So I'm after one which would be better for me, I'm 5ft11 and 105kg.

Upto £300. I'm after something comfortable with good adjustability. Laying flat would be cool if possible.

What's the ideal chair?

Im 5ft 10 and use a Boulies Master series. Its perfect for my height and weight (around 83kg)

Back rest can go flat and has excellent lumber adjustment.

Comes in some nice colours and materials too for your budget.

Hope that helps :)

Would you rather mesh or foam, headrest or not etc, lots of options, just bought my wife a Sihoo having been recommended by her physio and so far seems to be good, sciatica is improving.
I myself have an Orange Do Task chair I bought 2nd hand years ago which is still hanging on, foam seat rather than mesh, but with a mesh back which helps with the heat in summer, but it's a shorter chair with no headrest so depends what you're after.

Funnily enough. This is the one I bought lol

Had to replace the tilt mechanism on mine, however their warranty service is second to non. So all good. Glad you like it!

My 15 year old Staples special is still going strong ha - except it keeps sinking every 10mins which is getting tedious

PVC pipe is a easy fix,

My son and I use a Sihoo after a recommendation from my work colleague. The Sihoo (and similar) ergonomic chairs seem good.

Yeah, replacing seat pistons is fairly straightforward. Be aware though that it will be very very well seated after a few years of use. You'll need a mallet to get the old piston out of the base, and a pipe wrench to get it out of the seat.

Thanks - I read and looked into this years ago and its been on my "to do" list ever since.

It turns out that if I don't have a wife nagging me to do a job, it stays on the list for ever :)

The Anda seat Keiser 3 is awesome and often comes on sale. I have the standard size and im 5,9 103kg. Just get coveres for the arm rests as I find them too hard. I have 2 of them now (me and wife) and had them 11 months, perfect chairs.
