Hello there

Well looking for a cheap AGP gpu which is quiet. Will be used nothing more than a stop gap until i build a new rig later on in the year.

Only looking to play 1 game which is PAINKILLER.
Its old i know but i love it!

7600gs agp is your best bet, and its gonna cost around £55 inc vat and delivery. awsome card for the price. i have one running my lcd tv at 1360x768 and it runs games really well.

a 7600gt agp can be had for £80 inc vat and delivery these days. im planning on upgrading from my 7600gs to the 7600gt just so that i can get a higher level of AA out on some games.

or you could wait for the 8600 agp cards. ;)

Just got a asus 6200 (passive) for a mate for an old computer and seems pretty decent. Says on the box it gets 1200ish in 3dmark05 which is about a third of a 6600gt. Decent enough for £30 delivered plus a three year warranty.
Runs rthdribl at 8.5 Fps (On a 1200Mhz cely) compared to 42Fps for 6600gt and 4Fps for a fx5200.

Good choice would be something like a 6800GT if you're buying second hand, it should handle Painkiller with all the settings on max.

I'm still playing Painkiller after nearly 3 years by the way, its a great game ;)
