spec me a cheap compact camera

ok, so my old olympus mu died yesterday - so i need a new camera.
nothing fancy - i mainly use it for work, so less than £50. (only have a **** phone so thats no use)

i still have my xd memory cards and i also have a microsd card so it would be helpful if it takes one of those.

that vibration correction looks good - but do cheaper cameras have that yet?

any suggestions?

Most of the cheap cameras are extremely similar to each other, often sharing the same parts. As long as you get a decent make it should take a decent photo. Only thing I can say for certain is make sure it doesn't use a plastic lens as the really cheap cameras use these which give awful picture quality.

Did you old camera use SD cards? Probably best off trying to match up the memory cards on your new camera if you have a few of them, otherwise buy new if your budget allows.

hmm, that camera takes sd/sdhc cards - does that mean i can use my microsdhc in an adapter?

cool - i think i'll give it a try - for £36 quid its worth a go.
