Hi Guys,

Can you help? I have a £40 ish budget for a graphics card on a PCI Express 2.0 bus. What to go for? ATI or nVidia? Can you help and advise on the best budget card for me? It will only be used for surfing and playing counter strike source on a monitor with native res of 1680 x 1050.

It has a nVidia 8800 GTS 512 in it that worked great but has just died. Thansk for you advice.
 
Anyone please help? from what I have read nVidia seems to be the best option?
 
It is an old HP running dual Xeons. No on board graphics. Only has PCI Express x16
 
Secondhand GTX 260 or GTS 450 may be about right.

You wont get aything decent brand new for that price?

Dual Xeons? I thought you'd pair that with a graphics Monster...
 
Thanks Doomedspeed. Not sure what you mean about pair with graphics monster? Its an old HP xw6200
