Right im a very lite user, my current sim is a O2 PAYG one but i only use about £10 every 2-3 months. Ive been thinking of switching to Tesco mobile or Asda's PAYG sim, I dont use any data just texts and call's mainly. Something with low call charges would be nice, is there anyother sim's to check out?

cheers

Ovivo

£15 one of payment, then it's totally free. It's brilliant, got it in my spare phone. You get a image advert when you launch the browser for 5seconds and that's it.

150 minutes
ANY NETWORK
250 texts
ANY NETWORK
500MB data
FREE* calls and texts to OVIVO

Sounds like you wouldn't go over those limits, so you wouldn't pay anything after getting the sim.

Oh and the £15 is added to the balance of your sim, so if you did go over you have £15 initially.

Yup, Ovivo. You just can't beat it.

I am using it as well, very impressed with Customer Service if you use online email form on website, vodafone signal seems fine and I am currently using my sim in Turkey at the moment roaming on Vodafone TR.

For £15 it seems to good to be true, but it works well for the average to low mobile user.

Exactly. My mrs uses Ovivo and she can't fault it. She's been using it for almost a year. She only needs the free mins and the text. As you mentioned she is a very lite user. So it's ideal for her to be using ovivo.

I'm another who was switched to Ovivo, can't fault them so far. It seems to good to be true!

I'm a low user and tend to do all my surfing on WiFi, so I've never seen the 5 second advert. The advert only pops up if you're not on WiFi and use the web browser. So other third party apps such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter will never have an advert.

Best thing is, no monthly bills!!!

wow thanks for mentioning ovivo

But ain't this a little too good to be true ?

So I buy this sim for 15 quid, get 150mins and free calls to other ovio users for 60 mins tops, and then when 150mins runs out I get 15 quid credit ?

Whats to stop a light user using this sim for say 3 months and then when all credits gone simply get another one for 15 quid ?

Would have been awesome if one could have topped up £20 and got 150 mins + credit again lol

You wouldn't need to top up again, those are monthly limits, and you can just top up if you use more.
There's nothing stopping anyone from just using the free minutes/texts/data every month and not paying anything.

As your a light user, it's unlikely you would go over those monthly limits and thus have a free phone "contract"

Your allowance resets every month, so if you're like me and rarely make phone calls, or send texts. And 500MB of data is enough to see you through when you are without WiFi, then nothing beats this.

I tend to chat over teamspeak with my mates on the PC, or whatsapp as well. The missus doesn't use the phone much, but I'm probably going to get her the Ovivo sim too, and then we can txt and call as much as we like!

haha, massive typo error.

If only it was that amount, they would wipe out every other provider in a week!

cheers for the tip's guys i think Three would be best for me but the only thing is theres not many phones that i like. mainly looking for something with a huge stand by time and a decent camera 3mp plus and not a smartphone :)

If the Nokia 1112 is unlocked or with Vodafone, it should work.

She'll get a new number but you can ask for a PAC code from her current provider to transfer the number to Ovivo.

Wait so I pay 15 quid once and get 150mins per month always ?

That does not even sound possible lol

Wow, it sounds like a bargain. You can't get 150 mins for £1.25 (£15 split over 12 months) on PAYG on any network. I might get one just for that!
