Spec me a cheap printer

So my epson sx600fw just isnt printing properly no more.

Need a new printer, something cheap to run: Black ink only is fine. heard that toner printers doesnt dry out? sounds good if true.

any recommendations?

Cheapest Mono printer to run if your doing large volumes is a Laserjet.

Any mono laser - HP, Canon, Brother, Samsung, Oki, Epson. I think they all do one for less than £100.
However, before you buy, check if the toner cartridge is refillable. A new toner cartridge can cost as much as the printer, whereas a DIY refill tyically costs ~£15.

Do you think a Samsung ML-1640 would be a good choice, or is there bettter around that price?

Canon are the best at Laserjet printers. They manufacture Hp Laserjet's as well. You can pickup a Canon machine for under £100 these days and you can get the cartridges refilled handy enough.
