Spec me a cheap video editor

For Vista, < £100

I've mucked around with Windows Movie Maker and while you can't fault the price, it's hopeless for syncing things together accurately.

So basically I'm looking for something that does everything that WMM does (as a minimum), but does it well, ie. consistent & reliable sync, and no hangs or crashes just as you're applying the finishing touches!

I'm sort of looking at three just now: Mediachance EditStudio, Cyberlink Powerdirector, and Corel Video Studio X2, but I'm totally open to other recommendations, esp. if they're cheaper!

Any recommendations from personal experience?

What about Sony Vegas, you can get that for under £100. You get can a trial from Sony's site and see if it fits your needs.

Was the most responsive editor I tried - I actually paid for it, highly recommended, and I hand no trouble with my HD Video.
