I have a Coolermaster elite 430, so can't have too bigger rads. I'm just after a cheap setup too start with for my CPU (FX6300 but will probably end up a 4770k) then will probably add extra's later down the line for my gpu (TF3 7970).
Or am I better off buying the cheap all in 1 kits such as:

I was going to get a cheap H100 but I'm pretty sure it wont fit in my case, then I thought H80, then I thought the Zalman Reserator 3 Max, now I'm thinking I'm probably better off doing it properly and getting something I can expand on?
Oh and I have a bluray writer, fan controller, Samsung 830 SSD and a 3.5" harddrive in the front bays.
So any comments or ideas then please let me know :)

Hello mate.

If this fits your case (only a single rad), I can thoroughly reccomend it:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-343-EK

I recently did my first watercooling build and used this and have been so impressed with performance- 2500k @[email protected] never exceeds 65 at full load (only on one core, the others are around 62c) after being on for days, and hovers around 53c-55c during games.

From what I have heard, you will be lucky to hit that with a h100, as your temps will be much worse. Its not a bad AIO, but for a few more quid you can get the above which is a full custom loop (for cpu mind) and you can obviously expand later for gpu's etc.

Nice one cheers.
So does this perform much better than say a H80? Do you know where there's any results for them?

Yes it will do heavily-due to the fact that it has a much better pump, much bigger tubing etc.

The h60 would be better than most air cooling, but wont come close to 'proper' wc. Even the h100i doesnt even come close. My friend had one and his i5 was at 4.5ghz and 1.3v and temps were 75c!! Mine at the same settings was 25c + lower....

To think I had almost convinced myself to get a AIO cooler.
I do believe I'm pretty much convinced now :)

Welcome to the WC club-you'll never go back to air cooling now!!! :D

Murah has a point. However I like the discreet look of the black tubing that comes with it but I do agree it would look 'better' with clear perhaps-to really show off your system if you are so inclined!

I'd just get the standard kit and maybe order some clear tubing to go with it...if you want to have clear tubing!

Just make sure you set a few hours or preferably a day to do the WC setup itself-it isn't hard but it does take time to build and run leak tests etc. Check the stickys for more info. Have fun!

Ok cheers, I will do.
Although I'm starting to think the second one I listed at the start might be a better choice? As the pump seems a lot better (750lph compared to 400) All the bits seem to cost more on the XSPC system as well.

One thing to note, if you want the XSPC system it is a 240MM rad (2x fans next to each other) so make sure you have the space oh and for piece of mind get yourself some of the £2.99 each compression fittings as some people have experienced hoses flying off the barbs that come with the kit http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-103-XS&groupid=962&catid=1529 these are the fittings (Come in chrome or black chrome) you will need 6 of them =£17 ish while you dont have to go down this route, as not everyone has had this issue, I'd rather have piece of mind than a ruined rig

Ok thanks for the tip :) does the other kit have the same issue? Do you know if I will notice much difference in temps between the 2? I'm guessing so with the bigger rad and better pump?

The EKWB kit comes with compression fittings.

XSPC are good from what I have heard, but I don't have one myself so can't comment on performance.

You would be very happy with the L120. Even though it is a single rad is is VERY thick hence why temps are so good.

Either one will work, but if space is an issue the L120 is more compact.
