I want to keep the monitor, and the MATX form factor along with the case. I would like an overall black theme. It's been about 3/4 years now since I last built a PC so I'm a bit out of the loop. What parts that are around now will lead to similar performance but a lower price?

Cheers :)

Whats made you so preferable to mATX. It tends to be a bit more expensive that ATX where you could just get a midi tower which still aren't too big.

Yeah as above said you should really be looking at adding atleast a boot OS.

And also as stulid said skylake is DDR4.

How much cheaper do you want it? For around the same spec you can't really get much cheaper without compromising.

Thanks for the replies. I'd like it around £700 ish. Not fussed about an SSD just at the minute, and I'm lucky enough to have a friend that works in IT Support that I can get windows 10 off!

Would I be better going 4690K devil's canyon + cheaper mobo? Would there be much of a difference between the two CPUs?

I know you're right, but I'm trying to keep the price down. My previous PC didn't have an SSD and I was happy enough with it. I will maybe add one down the line a bit.

Two good suggestions, ta. So the cheaper monitor combined with cheaper gpu and CPU+mobo works out at £740!

Obviously you get free shipping.

It's only 20 over your budget and ticks all your boxes and its got a good cooler to accompany your k chip for a nice overclock and a 4gb 380. Stulid might correct me somewhere but its the best i could make. :)

the 4690k performs 15% under the 6600k for what ive read so being honest on youre budget to get best bang for buck I would go with the 4690k. its what I did and ive not been disappointed
