Hi All...

I'm looking to teach my great nephews in how to play chess, is something that their parents have asked me to do...
Thou I used to play at a competitive junior level, I've not played for a long period of time till recently and geting into the swing of it.

Anyway, I got two 7 year old boys to help train up to grandmaster levels (if only... lol)... but I learn at a older age.

Can anyone recommend some books and a set suitable for kids of this age? I'm sure the chess computer, apps and online courses will come much later..

Thanks in advance...

I’m not sure on the board but there’s some good results if you search for beginner chess sets. Some silly prices but I would keep in mind that they’ll potentially hold onto this board forever. I’ve got a cheapish travel set my grandfather passed down and I’ll probably give it to my kids.

Books wise, this pops up:
