if they do it roast pork Shanghai style it's amazing, but not many places do it. I can't even describe the flavour, but it's rich and I wouldn't be surprised if it is semi based on hoisin sauce.

chow mein if they do a good one, i find it hard to find a good chow mein and thats generally what keeps me going back

No way, Crispy Shredded Chilli Chicken (or shredded chicken in some other sauce) is the best tastiest thing I've eaten in ages. Can't comment on the beef alternative as I prefare chicken. Once I start on the chicken i cannot stop, I always end up bloated, but it was worth it.

Try something with Hoi Sin sauce. It's not as common as other dishes, but definitely worthwhile.
