Hey guys, my dad absolutely loves HL2, so much that he downloads all the mods etc, I was wondering whats a good game in the same genre ?

I was thinking

Fallout 3
Dead space

Any others??

Battlefield 2 might be something worth considering. You got loads of mods for that such as special forces. My old man is 50 and he loves it.

I wouldn't say fallout 3 was the same genre exactly. HL2 was a fairly fast-paced shooter. Fallout 3 is an RPG, with the main emphasis on free-roaming exploring and character interactions. With a fair amount of killing stuff thrown in too

That said it's an excellent game, game of the year for me, and if he has the time to really get into it I'm sure he'll love it.

yeah he has EP1 + 2, and Bioshock. He didnt get on with Portal tho
