Cheap as possible really, with relatively cheap inks! Not fussed about wireless or networking on it ect, just the ability to print lots of things very cheaply.

home or work , basically are you ok using fake/reconditioned toners ?

If you are there are plenty of cheap throw away lasers like the above samsung that work out very cost effective, for example a full set of toner refill for the aboce can be bought for less that £30.

Considering a full set of toners for most colour lasers will set you back nearly £200 thats not bad.

Just uni stuff as I have a mental amount of notes and journals on my pc that id like to get off of it at some point and printing them would be ideal. Uni charge a fortune for printing in the library and my HP F4280 inkjet has some very pricey cartridges which don't get that many pages out of them at all :S

Hence looking at the laser variants!

in that case a baby colour laser is surprisingly econimical IF you get one like the above that you can easily refill the toner cartridges (its generally easy to do it yourself).

The problem is like most printers there is a huge con that they are almost all sold with at best half full toner cartridges and genuine refills cost a fortune.

Like Razor blades it is actually sometimes cheaper to replace the printer than buy new toners. (just an example I use a brother 3070 as a home printer , 4 new cartridges £200, replacement printer goes as low as £100, a set of 4 non genuine refills about £50).

have a look at a popular auction site for how much refill kits are for any printer you choose to buy and get one accordingly :)

refill toners DO sometimes break printers the wrong toner type does clog em up knack the fusers etc but as colour lasers can get very cheap these days if it breaks just get a new one.
