ok guys a friend has asked me to spec him a comp for £400! so far i have got this :

i know there is a cd/dvd drive missed off this!

thats quite a tight budget you got there. ideally 1gb ram wold be better. also that cpu is a semperon isnt it ?? if you could it would be well worth getta a full amd am2 cpu not the semperron sort should only a few quid extra.

i did spec you a rig but wenbt over budget lol £400 with the optical drive

if you still want to keep to yoru budget then i highly recomend you ditch the 7300gs and go for the radeon 1600pro. its a few quid cheaper but will give nearly double the performance of the 7300 in cs. radeon ati cards tend to allways peform better in steam based games like counter strike. the few quid saved you coud put towards a full amd am2 cpu not the semperon sort

another 400 system will perform better than the one i posted eariler. but its based on the 939 socket wich uses ddr ram not ddr2 so if built a system later you would need new ram anyway

but like, why would u want to up the cpu, but be brought back down by a carp GFX card?

look at the 3dmark performance of those GFX cards and make sure u buy the right one to complement the rig.

personally i would go for either conroe/AM2 with a 7600GT, or 7600GS or x19xx gfx card...
