Sorry, am a little out of the loop with the new gear. Am perfectly able to build systems myself so not scared of oem, just unsure of the best parts these days. Looking for a conroe, mobo, 2gb ram a good gfx card, case and psu. don't need speakers, monitor, mouse or keyboard. Budget of around £700. Do your best, many thanks!

spec it yourself, and then the people of ocuk will tell you any chances needed if any. go on give it ago

Sorry, mainly gaming. I've currently got a 754 3700+, 1gb, X800XT. I find it struggles with oblivion and the newer games. I don't need the best spec, but i'd like to run games like oblivion and fear in better detail.

How's this? already got a hard drive so that's why one's not included

If you want to overclock your conroe (which you should do :D ) then the motherboard will be the limiting factor. You may want to make sure that you get a motherboard that can hit the high fsb's.

So sack off the asrock and go for something better? Any suggestions? There's loads in the £150 bracket but I'm not sure of the best brand. I'll take a look in the mobo section.

Have a look at the conroe overclocking threads in the Overclocking & Cooling forum. That should give you a good idea of which mobo would be a good choice.
