My girlfriend is looking for a new phone as currently she has a Sony Ericsson W850i and is looking to move onto something better.

She doesn't mind paying anything upto £35 a month for a good contract with a good free phone with the contract.

Main features in the phone that would be required:

-Good quality camera.
-Easy to text on (quick).
-Good quality display.
-Good memory, possibility to expand.

That's about it. I have read on these forums and done my own research for her, and come up with the Nokia N82 however I believe currently you can only get this phone on an o2 contract, but sadly she requires Orange! So your help is required here...

Thanks,

Dharok.

Orange seem to be one of the last providers that get the new decent phone from my experience, I been with them close to 10 years now.

Thinking of jumping ship to someone else soon, I quite fancy a N95 8GB.

I'd avoid Orange personally, I've just switched from them to t-mobile and - to me at least - their contracts seem like much better value, as do 02's.

Orange were unwilling to give me anything decent for renewing my contract as my spending hadn't been high enough for them, so I went to t-mobile and got an N95 (original) for £10 on a £25 a month contract, can't argue with that as it's £199 on £25 a month with 02 and only becomes free when you step up to £30 a month.

I would have got an N95 8gb or an N82 if I could have justified the cost though!

*edit* sorry I missed the bit about requiring Orange... that's a shame - still they do the K850i which has a 5mp camera and is a good phone too.

Amount of money you spend I guess. My average bill was generally around the £300+ a month mark. I had T-Mobile literally begging me to stay with them. Got offered a brand new phone every 6 months and reduced line rental.

I managed to get a k810i on orange with 400m/400t per month for £110 for the year after rebates by getting my local orange dealer to match online deals.

Added a £30 4gb m2 and I'm sorted.

If your really set on a n82 though you could sell the k810i for £100ish covering the contract, and just buy the n82 off the bay

Are there any cheap ways to up your band? Im coming up to the end of my contract and was thinking of pushing up my average spend a bit to get the phone I want
