Hi, i'm thinking about upgrading to an E6300 on a DS3 and want to overclock up to around the 3ghz mark and wondered what would be the best cooler for the job. It's got to be air and i don't want anything too noisy, what would be the best option do you think??

Thanks,

I've got an AC Freezer 7 Pro on that setup and it's wonderful. I think that is the best value cooler you can buy. If you want a little better performance for a bit more money you can move up to a Tuniq Tower.

I'm with Mr Impaler on this one.

I have had two artic coolers the 64 which had a better design and the artic cooler 7 which is pants. Admittedly it is very cheap and I would suppose you would call it sufficient-its those crap plastic nodules that are pushed into the mobo that are absurd.

That's not the fault of the cooler, that's just the design of Intel's socket. the 64 Pro and the 7 Pro are the same cooler with different mounting mechanisms.

Yar, my AC64 pro took no time at all (albeit a bit fiddly) to set up and it cools very well.
