We have a 3m x 3m corner sofa from Next, made sure i purchased a Shell Suit and Nova when buying to keep up appearances, clearly went for credit over 25 years @ 341% apr.

Love the modular build, means we can take a section onto the front lawn and drink Stella all day.
 
They are definitely perceived to be chavvy by a lot of people I'm afraid. I know that might not be the answer some people want to hear but it's the truth unfortunately. We can spend all day arguing the whats and whys, but that isn't going to change a general perception of something.

If people are happy with the image they portray, don't care and still buy them then all power to them.

I used to think this but since having mine now above the fire place it's actually more natural position to look at.

Unless you sit bolt upright on the couch like some weirdo.
Half lying down on couch, slouched like most people my head is perfectly inline with my tv.


Edit: forgot the quote but obviously I was referring to tv placement.

Agreed! It doesn't bother me if people wear Burberry caps, shell suits or have corner sofas. It's not doing me any harm as long as they aren't mugging me or something!

In a bedroom you want it higher as you can be propped up a bit by pillows but in the living room it just looks plain daft. I've never heard of corner sofa being chavy before so guess its something more local rather than a national known thing.
 
I want a Burberry corner sofa to match my cap, rockport boots and shell suit bottoms, any recommendations?

Completely impractical and uncomfortable though.

We have a corner sofa, it's bloody lovely. Fits nicely in my chav lounge, my chav taste and my chav self. It even has recliner sections for added chav effect
