Spec me a CPU cooler for my HTPC

A mate has a Zalman 7000B in that case, it fits easily but not super quiet at maximum revs.

XP-120 off the bay with a d12sl12. Fits in that case beautifully, although you'll have to check your motherboard.
Cheaper than the zalman, better than the zalman, quieter than the zalman.
The fan is inaudible at 7v and you probably won't even need a fan on it, my 3200+ runs at stock with the xp-120 and seems to be fine without the fan.

Are there any other HSF that are 12cmx12cm wide/depth, and 11cm tall? Managed to fit 12cm fan flat ontop of my HSF so I know that fits, just the height is the limitation. Something like the ninja but a few cm shorter.

the thermalright si-128 seems to fit the bill, and its only 91mm tall
The xp-120 is only 6cm tall. I found with a fan on an xp-120 in that case there's only about 2cm of room for airflow above the fan, so i would not recommend getting the si-128, only the xp-120.

You won't find a tower heatsink that will fit. The xp-120 still holds its own against the best heatsinks, indeed its better than the often recommended thermaltake big typhoon. And there are plenty around 2nd hand on the bay for half the price of a ninja.

I took some pics for you, since i'm getting my htpc out anyway to calibrate the cpu temp sensor.

Here you can see how much height there is to play with with a 6cm xp-120 and a 2cm fan. And heres another pic.
