I'm selling my H50 which I bought a little over a month ago due to the loud buzzing it makes so I'm in need of a new quiet CPU cooler to cool my i5 2500k @ ~4.5GHz @ ~1.33v (High voltage for that clock I know :(). The obvious answer is the Silver arrow but will it fit in the HAF 922 with the side fan attached and is there a better, cheaper option that would sufficiently cool my CPU and is as silent as the SA?

Thanks.

There isn't anything that's cheaper than the SA that will come close in performance. The best thing to do would be to measure the clearance yourself as you have the case already :).

looking at this picture from coolermaster, you might just get away with it with the side fan on. the max cooler height is 190mm and the side fan is likely to be 25mm wide, which leaves 165mm for the cooler. the silver arrow is supposedly 163mm tall, but some people have had silver arrows that are up to 168mm tall, so you might get the side fan on, you might not.

you may also find that the side fan is low enough to not interfere with the very tip of the cooler

Thought bugger it and went for the SA. If it doesnt fit or theres a problem with it and I have to return it to OCUK, will they refund the return postage or not? Thanks for your help anyway.
