I'm going to be upgrading some parts of my rig later on this week. Due to the summer and the fact I ought to be using an after market cooler, I have decided to upgrade my stock Intel CPU cooler for my i5 2500k. It's late in the morning

I am stuck between the Corsair A50 and the Cooler Master Hyper 212.

Any thoughts on which I should choose and are there any others I should consider?

I will probably whack some Arctic Cooling MX-4 on it while I'm at it.

Unrelated to cooling but still a valid question none the less. I will be having two 2.5" drives in my case, would it be better going with two separate 2.5" to 3.5" mounting kits or should I just go for the Akasa Dual 2.5 SSD/HDD mounting kit? I don't know what the temperatures would be like so I am undecided.

I can't help on the cooler, but on your second question, I have 2 SSDs in an Akasa Dual 2.5" SSD/HDD Mounting Kit. No problem; SSDs don't run hot. I presume you do mean 2 SSDs? For HD 3.5" still gives you more GB for your £s.

You'll find one SSD fits in the base of the Akasa kit with 4 screws underneath, and the other in the top with the 4 screws into the edge of the SSD package. I have one OCZ and one Samsung SSD, and both fitted easily.

The mounting kit will be used for an SSD I will be purchasing in the near future and a 250GB HDD I already own. So no worries about spending twice the £ per GB on a 2.5" as I will also be buying a 2TB Seagate HDD when I buy the SSD :p.
