I've never done watercooling before, It's scary!

But I'm going to dive in, I'd like someone to take away the hard part of the job and spec me exactly what I'll need.

Now I know the hard part of a custom loop is getting something that will work with a case, well I'd like you to spec me a case aswell. So if you get to choose the case, I suppose the loop config should be easier to spec?

My only request is that the case is white, and nothing hideous, Style please. I do like the Bitfenix case in white, with the window. My Living room has hints of red, so the LEDs on the case will be set to red. And I suppose red coolant or tubing would complete the aesthetics. lol, I think I chose the case in the end...

The loop will be cooling an I5 2500k, and I want to beable to take the same loop and cool an Ivybridge setup later.

The loop doesnt need to cool my GPU, Graphics card overclocking is just too fiddley for my liking. So the loop will just be for the CPU.

I do want to go as cold as possible, What is a realistic budget? If i say £200 am I kidding myself with regards to getting the best custom loop for a 2500k?

Let's just say the budget is flexible, But dont be silly with it

Thank You! :)

Also, If all the parts arent sold at OCUK(I love you guys and will buy whatever i can from you) write me down the name of the recommended part and I'll happily source it myself.

Im on my phone so specing is not easy.

But your going to need minimum of 400 for a good loop with case.

For a extra 60-70 you can cool your card and will be well worth it.

If your not clocking then heat will not be a issue and can be made silent with ease.

As cleeecooo must be having a snooze ill tel you what i would get briefly

rx360
D5 pump
res to go with case of choice
ek supreme hf
Ek gpu block

6 yateloons with a lamptron fc2 fan controller

2 fitting for each item except the pump.

And 3m of 7/16 tubing.

Goggles them. Just a start to get you going and looking into things.

£200 was only a guess really, I could stretch to whatever is required including graphics card cooling. I'm guessing once I've built a good custom loop, the whole thing would be transferable for pretty much any future system I purchase? It's just a case of attaching a compatible waterblock I suppose. Which makes it a purchase worth while.

I will google the parts you've recommended. I'm guessing everything I purchase will come with instructions for the Noobs. I'll be getting my system end of next month, I'm aware Ivybridge is close by. but I'm not a fan of adopting to new processors too early. So regardless I'll be getting a 2500k.

But the fact i wont be getting it till end of march gives me plenty of time to research all the bits, Also got wannabedamned.net purchased, without much on there. So I think a nerdy step by step with photos will be in order. :p Regardless of outcome :o

The blocks will come with instructions. If you can build a computer you can put a block on. Theses always youtube as well. There will be loads of guides on there.

I would find the case you want then Google "what ever case water cooking pictures"

Get a idea of what you want and like.

One thing you don't want to do is spend all that money and then not be happy and start changing things. Because you will never get back anywhere near what you paid for the parts.
