Unfortunately we have to use them :(

I want a hybrid, so here are mu choices..

I can spank it all on either:

Boardman Hybrid Bike Pro 2014

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_991938_langId_-1_categoryId_165534

Or:
Pinarello Treviso Hybrid Bike Black

Or save some and get this:

Boardman Hybrid Team Bike 2014

I've never had brake discs and not sure how to maintain them, so if they aren't really any benefit i would rather give them a miss.

I want some with excellent quality components, i really don't know what the difference is between them all....

I am coming from a Specialized road bike, and having decent components in it was certainly nice for the 6 years i have had it :)

Any help appreciated :)

Yeah i'd like a hybrid, i don't like the brakes and gear changing on a road bike, never mind the fact i never actually use the drop down handles!

I'm open to any suggestion on terms of a bike, just thought i would look at the more expensive as that's what i can spend.
Yeah i saw the single speed and the picture shows gears.... confused!

If there is something on there with really good components i'm open to looking at it.

Quick update on this:

Looks like you can use Halfords vouchers at other independent bike stores :) YAYYY!!!

So it opens up a lot more possibilities :)

Any recommendations for any hybrid:
Must have thin tyres 28c at most
Must be able to take a pannier rack
Must have flat handle bars.

Budget up to £1000

Anyone able to offer up any opinions on anything that looks particularly good value?
Some of the bikes stocked by the local guys include:
Ridgeback, Scott, Raleigh, Genesis, Saracen, Claud Butler, Felt, Trek, Viking, Giant, GT, BMC,.
