So ok, I was originally going to buy a GTX680, then thought, what am I doing and scaled back towards a 7950... Now I'm thinking do i even want to go that far?

Here's the thing, I hardly game.. I do like my hardware, but really the only game I play ATM on my PC is COD MW4, and that's already running the best it can on my x-fire 5770. & Q6600 4GB ram.

The rest of my gear is aging, so it is time for an upgrade.

I'm going with a IB 3770k, Gigabyte UD5H MB, 8GB gskill ram and an SSD..

I was going to just pull the trigger on the best, but really !!!!! that sort of money, for someone who'll probably not use its power.. come on. I play at 1920 x 1200. The only games I could see myself getting into would be MW3, and Battlefield 3 and possibly a driving game here and there.

So if you were in my position, what gfx card would you go for ? I don't want the GFX to become a bottleneck on the new IB 3770k, but on the other hand, i can't really justify that sort of money on a 680GTX

Drop the 3770K down to a 3570K, and use the extra budget on the graphic card. Or even try to source a i5 2500K for close to £100 (instead of spending £170 on the 3570K), and spend the money saved toward getting a GTX680/7970. IvyBridge is indeed faster than the SandyBridge on the same clock speed, but from the reviews it would seem they don't clock as high, so a i5 2500K at 4.7GHz is not really much slower than the i5 3570K at 4.5GHz.
