Bored of jumping in and out of FPS's lately.. Need something that has progression I suppose.

Looking for suggestions for games to play.

MMO or RPG sort of thing?
Enjoyed Borderlands, but not really a fan of Borderlands 2.

Used to play Age of Conan / Lord of the Rings Online a few years ago, wouldn't mind giving that a try again, but I assume the game is a ghost town - not a soul to be seen anywhere?

I'd recomend the Mass Effect series for your RPG needs. If Sci-Fi is not your thing try Skyrim.

If MMO's are more your thing, then I'd say sod it and play Mass Effect or Skyrim anyway. You'll finish the series/game just in time for new year :)

Elders Scrolls Online looks pretty sweet, but I dont think that's out till next year. Keep an eye out for the new Dragon Age too.

MMO Survival

Nether
Infestation
7 days to Die

All Survival Style FPS with RPG ellements ignore the hate Infestation is great

I enjoyed the story of SWTOR, it made levelling a pleasure. I levelled a dark side character than a light side character, took me a while but i enjoyed it. The progression was good too.

I levelled the darkside character on release and have levelled a light side character since it has gone free to play and didn't notice much difference.

The original games were good as well but are a bit dated now.

edit: i didn't do any pvp (well a few bg's) and no raiding at high level and still got a lot of enjoyment out of it.

What is the F2P like for SWTOR - I am more PvP based but I never reached end game with this so I might give this another go depending what its like.

Do many people still play it?

Path of exile looks decent was thinking of giving it a try.

Do, it's excellent fun and the price can't be beat.

How come you didn't like BL2 if you liked BL? I think it is better in pretty much everyway that the original, better dialogue, bigger, more variety of locations etc.

I found the difficulty spikes in BL" harsher, and the loot drops less frequently awesome. Still played it a bunch but I can see how you might not take to it.

You also need to very much be in the mood for a long game (multiple playthroughs).
