What do you recommend that can run on Ubuntu 10.10

I've tried unity which is ok but want something as simple as it get.. Basically a screen with launchers

Something like meego I suppose :confused:

Have you seen kde4 would that be what you want?

if it is download kubuntu

I want something simple like meego, matchbox not bloat like kde or gnome...

The purpose is to be a simple app launcher nothing more nothing less, probably another reason why I've been looking at mobile platforms

Unity is getting there but I don't know how to customise it.

Hi, Im new to playing with window managers. I'm trying to make a tablet 'big dumb buttons' type display for a media centre pc. The main controller is to be a Wiimote.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've heard about hildon and matchbox, but im not sure how they all come together or how to install user interfaces.
