Seriously thinking of getting a laptop this weekend.

I was thinking of 4GB and i3 on the laptop.

Can someone please post a similar spec desktop up to force me to change my mind? :)

Needs to be in a small form case and include Windows 7. Mouse and keyboard not needed. I was going to spend around £450 on the lappy so needs to be less that that to tempt me!

Main uses are for internet and some photo processing.

Just bear in mind thatr even though they're both i3's, the laptop will be slower as it uses low power components. Obviously it's not upgradeable either, but you have to balance that with your needs (portability). :)

That laptop is £429.97.

There's another similarly specced Toshiba one for £450 with 2 years warranty.

I must say I'm leaning towards giving a laptop another try.
 
TBH if you want something small and you're not too fussed about HDD or screen size (and onboard graphics is enough) then the laptop is a sensible choice. Only other argument for the desktop would be the photo processing, but it depends how much you're into that.

Just noticed the mobo has onboard gfx, so scrap the gfx card.

use the onboard gpu of the motherboard, the 5450 is rather slow.

Well actually he posted a spec, which is better than yours, and I have suggested some items to make it cheaper (which is spending less!!!!) without making it worse.

Do you understand that cheaper = spending less?:D
