Spec me a digital camera with GPS

Seriously? £2k? £2,000?!

That's quite a lot of money for a camera just to have GPS unless you're looking at going down the DSLR with GPS tagging capabilities? For over £300, the Nikon P6000 comes with GPS built in. Or pick from most of the DSLR, like a Canon 40D and get a GPS module unit to fix on to the DSLR. Something like this

To be honest you should be looking at the camera & lens combo that suits what you want to shoot first then work out how to do the GPS bit later.

Canon used to do an all in one geotagging solution for the original 1D but I don't think it's available anymore.

If you look here the suggestion is to use a simple GPS logger and Downloader Pro to merge GPS locations into the EXIF of the photos. That seems an infinitely more sensible approach than trying to find something with built in GPS.

I bought a tiny unit from the bay for about £75 all-in. It sits in the hot shoe (but doesn't need to) and connects to the remote connector. I bought the D90 version but there's also a 10-pin for the D300 etc. This is what it put in the EXIF:
