I have been using Linux as a desktop OS for a couple of months now but I would like a little more flexibilty. I am not ready to go whole hog and use Arch but I would like an extremely lightweight distro that I can install what I want and doesn't come with stuff I will inevitably uninstall i.e. Thunderbolt.
I would prefer it to be based on Debian but am flexible one that front.
I have tried
Xubuntu - I like the look of it but I never felt happy using it
Lubuntu - Same as above but minus the looks
Crunchbang 10 - I liked crunchbang and if there isn't a better OS that meets my needs I shall use Crunchbang.
