Will be starting my project this week but am in need of a dremmel or something else to be able to cut into an aluminium case and to smooth off rough edges. Never used one before so if anyone can reccommend a decent quality one with the bits i will need.

Also any tips on using one and precautions to take would be apprciated.

thanks

I just got a 300 series from the bay of e and it works a treat. I used mine to alter a heatsink and it coped well.

I just missed one on the bay for £45 but can buy new from b&q, with flex shaft for £65 plus has warranty. Did you have to use any special disks or are the ones included suitable?

You will probably need more than is included in the box, but it depends on the included contents!

+1 for the Dremel. Personally, I have the Digital 400, and its great!

The standard disks wear through pretty quick. I'd get through one after every couple of heatsink fins. You can get hard wearing ones, haven't tried them.
