Going skiing in January to a place with microwave and hobs, no oven, slight outside chance its a microwave oven combi.

I prefer eating out during the day and crashing in the evening, but the selection of food available is tricky considering whats available in the local spar and also with no oven.

So I am looking for ideas on some different meals that can be prepared with the available cooking facilities and some other normal basic ingredients (so stuff like milk, cheese, ham etc is fresh and available)

What I would ideally do is buy the dried ingredients in the UK and take them with us. Weight is almost a non issue, as we take 2x sets of skiis we have about an extra 10-15kgs of luggage allowance as pack the ski carriers with clothing to help protect them.

Ideally trying to create 3 days worth of decent evening meals I can plan and just add local fresh to enhance, so any ideas for decent dried products...?

Stews, curries and chilli seems to be the best bet here. I don't see why you'd need to take any dried ingredients bar possibly spices. You can put the food on in the morning on a low temperature, go out skiing and then when you're home it'll be ready for eating.

You'll be able to knock up a decent pasta/sauce without issue. Chilli con carne would be easy enough. The local shops usually have a good enough selection to make some half decent grub.

The local spars are pretty crap hence looking to boost the food options taking some with us.
We know the resort, we know the spars we know what availables hence the thread.

I guess a long slow walk round tesco is in the offing. Was kind hoping there would be options but its not looking good :(

Chilli isnt an option, no ground beef, well never seen any. Its a pretty poor and limited amount of raw foods available in general, my guess the locals do very big shops at the bottom of the mountain every few weeks and the holiday makers just eat out mainly or want to eat junk.
There is a larger selection of microwave burgers/sandwiches/sausage rolls etc than raw meat for example
