Thier's probably been a thread for this already, but I was wondering if anyone recommends a good PC driving game to chill and drive about in, rather than an all out driving sim.

Also a control pad thats enjoyable to use, and responds well for driving. I'm a keyboard+mouse gamer, but occasionally its nice to chill out on recliner with a control pad and an ice cold beer :)

Trackmania United
Sega Rally
Live for Speed
Test Drive Unlimited
Flatout and Flatout 2
Colin McRae Dirt

Xbox 360 controler works lovely on the pc, lots of different game types to use it on too :)

Is Sega Rally out yet? I want it SO bad!

I wonder if it's better than DiRT ?

A trip to a game store is in order methinks :D

I have a PSX dual shock pad on my PC, reckon it's worth it on that or should I just DIY an old XBOX pad with a USB jack ?

Test drive unlimited
Ps2 pad is essential cannot stand the L1R1 on the 360 pads am currently stuck handicapped on pes6 because i am using an xbox controller on pc and there's only 2 shoulder buttons yes i know 360 has 4 but 2 of them are the silly so called analogue ones.
Ps2 pad or logitech dual action is the only way to go or grab an old usb lead and connect it to your xbox controller then use xbcd 1.7 drivers like i have.
Can't believe the ps2 pad is still £20 most places delivered.Forget ordering a gamepad off here postage is £8 which is plain daft if you ask me.

I tried sega rally demo and it's mighty fine little demo - short though!

Will be getting it tomorrow :)

I'll also pick up Dirt! I also unboxed the dual shock pad and it's hideous feeling after using xbox pad for so long!

Only problem with Sega Rally is you only get force feedback through a 360 pad, maybe you get it through a wheel too idk, so if you like the vibrations pick up a 360 pad while your there. Wired to save on batteries

If you're buying a gamepad then the only choice is the Xbox360 pad, it's probably the best ever made.

Problem is, the best racing games like LFS and GTR really benefit from wheels and not pad play. I'm not a fan of DiRT or Sega Rally, I would go for something with more depth such as Test Drive Unlimited.

Cheers, got the 360 pad, works a treat on the Sega Rally demo! Might even shell out for the full game.
