Spec me a fan!

Need an exhaust fan for my case that hasn't got LEDs. Want the best airflow at the lowest noise possible (don't we all.)

Was going to go for the Noctua as it's the only one I've heard of, but the colour clashes terribly with my case...so does anyone have any good recommendations? Needs to run off a mobo header if possible. I know nothing about fans.

Yeah that Sharkoon is a beast; white blades would look great under my UV. Is the 2000 worth going for or does the 1000 provide enough air flow?

Get that noctua, its simply the best. The colour scheme screams quality imho.

Yeah I know what you mean mate, it does to me too - they look like proper premium products. It's gonna proper clash with my black and blue innards though

I have 1000 on my Antec 300 and you can barely feel the air flow with you hand up to it (from inside the case), personally I think the 2000 would be better but there will be an increase in noise. So depends on what side of the trade off sea-saw you want to be on.

Them scythe S-Flex are very good. Used them in all my builds but would need slowing abit if your after total silence.

I reckon my current system puts out about 30dB so one of those would probably fit in OK.

If you want lowest noise; the Xilence or Noctua.

Highest CFM, Sharkoon. Just got rid of my Sharkoon (phasing out all non Noctua fans

). I could definitely hear the difference between the Sharkoon and the Noctuas.

Running the Xilence on my Radiator and are very quiet.

Noctuas are quiet but dont exactly push much air.

Noctua's don't have the highest flowrate, but when you look at flowrate per noise unit, they win every time.

Id reccomend the sharkoons, currently got 5 in my rig. 2 of the standard 2000 rpm models run of a fan controller and three of the new modular se variants ran via pwm.

Sharkoon silent eagle se.

Sharkoon 2000

I got 2 120mm and 1 80mm in my case and can hardly hear them at all

+ there cheap!

setter - While you cannot tell us where you got them, are the new Sharkoon fans much more money than the standard, and how about noise compared to noctua ?

another sharkoon fan here...(excuse the pun)

got 4 of them in my p190 and they do the job very very well on a very low speed.
