after the spec me some cheap vtec thread my list of potential trackday sheds is quite small, (and uninspiring) anyone suggest some tasty fast metal for under the 1500 quid mark

so far i have

Prelude 2.2 vtec
Saxo VTS
MK2 Golf 16v
Mk3 Golf VR6
BMW 328(E36)
Track day insurance for the LCR
1/2 million mile octavia TDI
Punto GT Turbo
Cavalier/Vectra V6
Mondeo V6

any thoughts guys? something for track action and suchlike

not bothered about trims/specs/interior as its all going to come out anyway i'm having dirty thoughts about a V6 cavvy manual atm (yes i'm strange)

but always open to suggestions

we used to change engines in the old mk2 XR2's in about an hour and a half, easy enough if theres a few pairs of hands ;)

dont see why if you had the means to keep a spare lump at a track day venue with you you wouldnt take it, i mean you could even just rob it for bits during the day if needed :)

I'm currently thinking of selling mine and I’d be looking for about £2000 ono.

The car is in pretty much mint condition and has only covered 64,000 miles.

The reason I’m getting rid is that the speedo and rev counter don’t work, the moron I bought it from tried to fit a dial kit from fleabay and put a screw driver through the back of the dash.

It has just been serviced and MOT which it sailed through.

It is regularly parked in the Sky car park near Rosyth.

bit over budget unfortunately :( but if i'm still looking next month i'd have to give that serious consideration, along with a wee run up through sky for a nosey :)

where u from m8?

i used to stay down at the palace
