Spec me a Firewall

I'm looking for a hardware firewall for my home network. I can get my hands on a Cisco ASA 5505 for free but would prefer something with ADSL connection built in and ideally wireless.

I'm also on a budget

so looking for a cost effective option (pfsence is not a good option and I don't have space for a PC).

why not get a pppoa device (like draytek 120?) and plug in the cisco?

I was going to suggest PFSense as its great to play around with and very feature rich.

If you aren't looking at that, I'm really happy with all my Unifi kit.

Hardware firewall with an ADSL modem AND wireless? So an ADSL router?

What are you trying to achieve with this that a consumer router can't do with its built in software firewall? I'm guessing high throughout isn't a response with it being ADSL.

I'm not really sure what you want exists. What do you need this "hardware firewall" to do for you - are you looking for something that can simply perform blocking of outbound traffic, or are you after more of a UTM type device?
