Spec me a first DSLR

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy my first DSLR - mainly for stills of cars and possibly dabble with some motorsport photography at a later date (I understand I'll probably need a zoom lens).

I used to have access to an EOS 600D which I quite liked. It seems these can be picked up for around £325 now, so if anyone knows of any "better" alternatives for a similar price, I'd be very interested to hear.

Pretty sure the D5100 is better than the Canon all in all. But if you want Canon, 600D is the way to go.

the D3200 gets good reviews and around £300

Just bought a D3200 myself - very impressed with it. Cheap at the minute because the D3300 is about the hit the shops.
