Hi

I have a PC which stores some data and I need 2 flash drives to use to backup the files. I need them to be stable for data so I do not experience any data loss. Are there any particular brands I should be looking for? They ideally would be 64gb in size.

Your help much appreciated

I used to use Kingston Datatraveller G4's in 64GB and 128GB versions for backups at work - never had any issues, decent enough performance (although there are faster drives out there).
Only retired them due to needing something with more capacity and a bit more "enterprisey", and so following a recommendation from people on here moved to RDX Cartridges.

I need them to be stable for data so I do not experience any data loss.

Can't say I have ever come across an "unstable" drive, although there are plenty of scare stories on here and other places of people buying flash drives and memory cards from less reputable places at "too good to be true" prices and wondering why they have issues :)

It's just a stand alone PC that doesn't have any redundancy on the data so if it goes down we're in the doodoo. I will have a look at Kingston drives.

Yeah I guess I am seeing the scare stories but I've never had one fail personally either.

What size would the actual backups be? I use SanDisk drives personally, have had a lot of Kingstons too none of which have failed. Is speed an issue? And if so, do you have USB 3/C/3.1 ports?

They're not massive, about 400mb each but there will be 10 at a time. It has SS USB ports so presume that's USB3

I'll check out the Sandisk and Kingston devices.
