I'm thinking about getting into forex trading, I've only been looking into it for about a week but think it's something I could get into, so far only practice accounts. If I get into it I'd like a separate "work" area instead of using my PC in my bedroom, I have a spare bedroom that I could set up in, once upon a time it was going to be a home cinema but decided it's not such a good idea, it's not really big enough!

I'm not going to build it unless I get into forex, so I came up with the idea of making forex pay for it. If I make enough money from it to build a computer for it then it'll go for it, if it doesn't work out after that then at least I got a computer out of it! It's obviously not going to be anytime soon, but I'm sure the price would still be relevant for equivalent spec in the future, or I might surprise myself and do well enough while the current spec is still current!

The general idea I have is 2 x 24" monitors that are nice enough to stare at for hours on end, the GPU wouldn't have to be top of the range gaming spec or anything, just enough to reliably run 2 monitors, CPU I'm not sure what I'd need, I prefer intel, I don't know if I wouldn't need anything more than an i3 or couldn't do without an i7! I like a weighty mouse, I have a R.A.T.5, I like the look and feel but it just doesn't work, keeps double clicking when I only click once, I had a G500 that I really liked but gave it away and regrettably replaced it with the R.A.T.5, so something along the lines of G500. I'd like a mechanical keyboard, I have a blackwidow chroma that I really like, a bit over the top for this setup though. Only requirement for motherboard, HDD/SSD, PSU and RAM is reliable, which also has to apply to everything else! Case isn't important, something plain and black, a quiet cooler, speakers don't have to be anything fancy but still half decent sound, optical drive doesn't need to do anything special either.

The last computer I built was an Ivy bridge I5 3570k and I haven't really paid attention since then!

Budget doesn't matter, whatever it costs for reliable, that's not the same as money's no object, so no GTX 1080Ti SLI or anything!
