Hi all,

The time has come to upgrade from my non-banded 60hz monitor.

I'm looking for either 24inch 1080p or 27inch 1440p.
G-Sync, 144hz+ and low response times are a must.

Mainly playing Counter Strike, but also single player games such as The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls III.

Currently eyeing up the Dell S2716DG, any suggestions?

I would get the Dell - the PG278QR seems to be plagued with issues just like the original while I've seen barely anyone complain about the S2716DG (unless they just aren't happy with the compromise to image quality compared to an IPS).

Thank you all for your suggestions. I'm going for IPS display, its between two monitors:

Acer Predator XB271HU
or
AOC AGON AG271QG

Any further suggestions between the two?

There is also the ViewSonic XG2703-GS which is 599 elsewhere, You could maybe post on reddit and see what others think.

Having owned the Dell which is a fabulous monitor (but returned due to a big dirty scratch on the bezel). I then went for the Asus PG279Q and I don't reret it one bit. The IPS picture quality is more vibrant then the Dell and you get a higher frequency of 165hz. It is on sale at "cough" for £699. Overclockers should price match though, I don't know why they are charging £899 for it.

I've just ordered the Acer Predator Z301C, wanted an ultra-wide monitor with high refresh. Unfortunately I cannot give you a review until 9th August though, wifes got it wrapped up for birthday.

I just bought the ViewSonic I posted 3 posts up, Monitor is great, Colours popping and my crap TN panel looks disgusting beside it :p
