Hey,

Won free shipping on twitter with a games shop which is all the excuse I need to buy a game!

Dunno what to get though. Mostly play 2 player with my old man, theme is unimportant as long as it's engaging.

Not fussed for co-op/head to head either.

Need some good ideas! :D

For competitive games: Twilight Struggle, Commands and Colours: Ancients or Netrunner if you're always two, Caylus if you're sometimes three or four.

Co-op: Flash Point or Mice and Mystics if you want the option of more players, Lord of the Rings LCG if you are happy to stick at two. All three games are expandable.

I don't have huge experience of games, but:

Letters from Whitechapel - Good 2 player Jack The Ripper themed game, best in most people's opinion with 2 players but can be played with more.

Cyclades - Great Greek mythological themed game. We play it with 2 players but would probably be better with more.

Memoir '44 or 1775:Rebellion.
Caverna or Agricola
Russian Railroads or Glück Auf
Le Havre or Ora at Labora
Glass Road

The list of good two player games is endless. depends on if you like euros or ameritrash more.

I like Carcassonne as a two-player game.
Good fun, easy to learn and there are loads of expansions to spice it up a little if you get bored with the basic game.

Was going to give Agricola a spin but thought it best to check here for ideas first!

Tried some MtG and didn't really get on well with it so likely give Netrunner a miss.

Already got Carcassonne which is awesome fun. Kinda want the Pandemic expansions but I have the original printing so the ones on shelves aren't compatible :(
