Spec me a games controller for my pc

+for xbox 360 controller for PC make sure u enable the vibrations in games grid is awesome with this!!!!

jus get the wired unless u already have a xbox controller

the 360 controller supports analogue on the triggers and sticks not sure about the PS2 and no adapter needed its USB.

i picked mine up for 17£ , you probs have to pay £15 for the adapter! why not buy a controller plus the drivers work with all games etc etc

+1 for the 360 controller
and it comes with a driver cd but up to date ones cane be got from windows update ^^^

Yea, I use the 360 controller for all my racing games. Great controller indeed. I prefer using keyboard and mouse for most, but in racing games the controller just makes it miles easier to drive, the throttle doesnt have to be just on or off for example, theres a range! lol

Another +1 for the 360 controller.

I`ve got the wireless one and its great;)

Likewise, it's so nice when stuff just works, and these do. Loads of games work automatically with these and show the button configs and menus, etc - well impressed with mine.

Is the 360 controller just plug and play or does it need/ come with a driver?

If you're using Vista I think it already has the drivers and is ready to go as soon as you plug in. Or if you're connected to the internet Vista will automatically get the drivers for you.

360 controller only way to go due the support it gets in game

+1 Thats what I use and it's set up ready whenever I install a new game. Not only that but with a lot of new games, the coloured pad buttons appear on the in-game menus and prompts just as though you were playing on an xbox. When I play GTA4 i use the pad for driving and some walking and then the mouse+keyboard for shoot-outs etc. I couldn't imagine it any other way. Although i mostly use mouse + keyboard when playing games, in a lot of games i much prefer using the xbox pad. Usually games that have a lot of button combinations to do certain things such as assassins creed and dead space. Again these show the xbox pad buttons on screen.

See i have an xbox 360 already, can i just connect my existing wireless controller to the PC via my Play & Charge kit or can i buy say, a wireless adapter?
