Hey guys i'm looking to buy a pre built desktop from Overclockers for around £1000. I do not need a monitor, however i will need an OS included in the package. (I believe i read Windows 7 can be upgraded to Windows 8 for £15 for purchases before January 31st).

So a little bit of what i want out my system:

Games: I want a rig that will be able to play the most up to date games and will last a good few years at the top end of the gaming spectrum if at all possible. Games include WoW, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Civilisation.

Video editing: I've been interested in editing and recording game footage while i play and commentating on it, just as a fun hobby really.

Monitors: I already have 1 monitor but when the money is saved i would like to be able to run two (maybe three if possible ;) ) monitors in the future. Just so while i play games i can also edit, or watch some program next to me.

I'd like the case to look badass just as a showoff to my friends if at all possible. Not required i know, but i'd love my desktop to look as good as it plays haha.

If any of you guys can help me it is much appreciated. Thank you :)

Edit: Also the room it will be in can get a bit hot in the summer so temperature could be an issue.

Sigh Zak should know this by now :(

The original Antec specc'd is very outdated in terms of style, airflow, cable management etc and the "core" cases come with no fans.

I would get a cheaper PSU like an XFX and a 7950. A 650W is not needed for any single GPU setup.

cases are like shoes, a personal item, what ever you like etc someone else won't, i picked branded ones from a make i like and have used in the past.

all have good air flow, cable management is user preference if hidden or not, all case fans can be added later if needed.

psu was the only corsiar in stock at the time of picking, and i like a better more reliable brand of psu

and the 7870 is a good spec of card for the price and over clocks well in budget.

to take out the card and fit a higher spec, a sdd or something else would need to be down graded or taken out, but feel free to re spec

i have re done build as per your recommendation and included some of this weeks offers, case will be in stock by time users order, but prices by then will may have altered

Hey guys i'm looking to buy a pre built desktop from Overclockers for around £1000.

All the specs listed above a just the components that you'll have to assemble yourself.

If you're happy to do that then there's no problem but if you definitely want a pre-built system then you'd better make that clear now.

I wouldn't want you to think you were getting a PC and instead receive a dozen boxes of parts.

Hmm, seems fairly clear to me.

Although slightly over budget at £1030 and with no default OS, this looks pretty good for you and will definitely last a few years.

Pre-built, pre-overclocked and tested by the chaps at OcUK. There's the current best bang for buck gaming CPU (with an upgrade path to i7 later if you want it), a strong GPU (also upgradeable later), plenty of RAM, good sized SSD, etc...

There's no secondary storage with it (but you can get that later) and I'm not sure if I'd call the default case 'badass', but its not terrible either, and there are other choices if you want. If I was buying pre-built from OcUK with a ~1k budget this is the one I'd probably choose atm.
