Need keyboard to match the rest of my system, it's the only thing that isn't custom. I use my Naga mouse for MMO's so don't really need loads of spare buttons, but my main concern is durability, comfort and responsiveness.

I'm using my old HP pavilion slimline keyboard from 2009/10 at the moment. I'm pretty sure it's a membrane keyboard and not a mechanical *yep it is, just took a key off to check*

As far as I know mechanical are much more responsive and feel better. Remember, it will be used for heavy gaming, so it needs to be nice and comfortable for long sessions, so maybe with a pad attached or whatever.

As for price, I'd set my limit at £100, could stretch higher but would like to remain near that number. But please, suggest the best keyboard for the above needs as I don't really care about saving a few quid if I can get a better one for a tad more :D

PS: I'm right handed so use my left hand on the keyboard if that info is needed, and my desk is very large :)

Wow, I've fallen in love with how they look together lol!

It seems you enjoyed using them quite a bit from that review. I'm tempted now to buy that mat as well to replace my Roccat Sense one.

Do you think I should also splash out and get the mouse? You know as a variant as I like my Naga for certain games like dungeon crawlers and MMO's but I find the buttons kinda useless for FPS games. Those 3 on the side of the Gigabyte mouse look the right size and perfect, not to mention the ability to weigh it down as the Naga is light which can be annoying sometimes :)

Sure why not and if you don't like the mouse/pad then you can always return it under the DSR rules.

True, although I'm pretty sure I'll love the mouse from the looks of things, and that mat is actually a bit bigger than my current one with the dual side being a bonus, thanks :D

I had a read of the review earlier, it looks a real nice keyboard.

I don't get why you'd want to return a mousemat, the amount I payed out on delivery etc for something I could buy a brand new one :P (Although I did send a Keyboard back to OcUK)

Yeah they look awesome after further research on them. I like how the keyboard shouldn't move on the desk as this one moves easily when playing games, very annoying lol

sorry i realy dont get the mechanical kb thing, ok thay may last longer but the sound of stormtroupers trying to sneak gets old soon.

ill take a £30 g110, then spill cider on it

Well it's just personal preference to be fair. I don't really like rubber dome keyboards, especially for typing. There's no firmness behind them. But key benefits for me are:

1. Much better for typing (which I do a lot of)

2. I prefer them for gaming

3. Mechanical actuate with less force and generally half way pressed, which I find improves responsiveness and relates to point 2

4. They're much more durable and heavy, and will stay put.

Now of course if you spilled a drink on one it's a 99% dead unless you were lucky (in my past experiences) but I don't drink near the keyboard, plus my desk is bigger than most double school tables so I keep my drinks well away from my KBM. Saying that, I have my water in a stainless steel bottle which has a suction tip, so it can't spill.

Anyway, I rambled on enough lol!
