Currently have a Roccat Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard which I’ve been enjoying for donkey’s years, but have moved my computer desk to a slightly darker location and now I need a keyboard with illuminated keys which plays well with Windows 10 and 11.

Not looking to spend a whole heap of money, but want something decent that’s going to last a few years.

- QWERTY
- Wired
- Mechanical keys
- Illuminated keys - blue or white illumination colour
- Similar footprint to Roccat Avro front to back without a lot of casing between the front edge and the space bar. Being wider wouldn’t be an issue.

I seem to have devolved into a "buy what I've got" guy over peripherals atm. Had a decent few keyboards without getting too deep down the rabbithole.
Corsair K70 Rapidfire has done about 3 years service at this point. Some VEEEEERY minor key wear appearing on ctrl and "A" but otherwise been flawless.

Edit: And from a point of the arvo being FAIRLY "low rise" keys which the rapidfire will match.

Edit2: Hopefully a helpful after-thought. You can probably put well over half, maybe up to about 70%+ of mechanicals into your current wants list. So think about how the keys feel and price as extra things to tailor you a suggestion :)
The one suggested is like a low(er)-rise cherry red.

If the issue is you can't see the keys, why not just get a desk lamp? Or a monitor light bar?

If you do want a new keyboard then the best 'gaming' keyboard right now is the Wooting. You can get a 60%, 80% or a full size - but they're not cheap!

I had similar requirements, but also wanted something with replaceable switches etc in case I wanted to try branching out / something more exotic in the future.

I wound up with a Keychron V6 Wired - that's the biggest one, but the V series comes in a bunch of configurations.
