I have a Logitech G5 which I like except for the wheel, its big and clunky and horrible, in COD4 when I click the wheel to throw a nade it changes weapon, very annoying and has got me killed.

I was looking at the Razer ones, the Copperhead and the Lachesis, is the Lachesis worth the extra £10?

Any other good mice I'm missing and opinions on the above Razers please.

Also I use a standard rubbish mat, are there any gains using the expensive ones? I have 9.5" very max width and the lengh the other way wont matter but I wont really use more than 6" of it. Any recommendations if its worth getting one?

Thanks

I wouldnt bother getting a Razer, I've had 2 and they just end up breaking, the Copperhead's especially.

This all the way.

the new G5's dont have the issue with the mouse wheel, well the two i have got in the last 6 months dont. My old one would be able to change weapon/scroll before the "click", if you did it gently enough, which caused issues in game. Mouse wheel sucks for changing weapons anyway :P

Razer Destructor mouse mat is nice, its definatley worth getting a decent one. Which one is personal preference though.

I dont know between the mice as i dislike Razer mice due to the shape and feel of them.

I dont like MS mice, last time I used one in that style the side buttons really annoyed me.

What broke on the razers?

Any more opinions on the Razer mouse?

A freind said avoid the copperhead as he had one and threw it up the wall lol

I've got the Razer Lachesis now and before that i had the DeathAdder, both are fantastic mice

You should probably take better care of them then?

I have had a Razer Diamondback for the last 4 years, it still works perfectly. It lasted much, much longer than any other mouse I've ever had.

I emailed Logitech support about my issue with the wheel and they said to return it to the retailer but I cant find the invoice for it so I told them that and will see what they say.

If they dont sort it I will order the Lachesis I think and a Razer mat to go with it.

Thanks for your input guys.

Any Razer mouse will be fantastic, ive got the deathadder and I'm very pleased with it, enjoy the lachesis! :D

ive got the G5 so i cant really recommend a mouse :D, but i find it really good.

However all I can say is...dont go wireless ;)
