I'm looking for an upgrade to my trusty MX518

Ideally after a mouse that has adjustable weightings and can be run both wirelessly and wired (and one that recharges using the wired connection)

Thanks :D

Me friend has a G500 and I like the look of it, but I'd really like to go wireless. I've got a pretty awful desk and the way the wire hangs down to my rig from the keyboard tray causes a lot of drag. I'm going to be using it wired 70% of the time, but then for gaming using it wirelessly to improve the movement.

I've got my eye on the G700 which a competitor has for just under £60, but this doesn't have weights. I wondered if there was anything that had both?

Steelseries Xai is my recommendation, never had any problems always reliable and always gets me frags (most important) ;)

Hmm, I think the mamba is too pricey. And none of the others are wireless...

Maybe I can compromise on the weights, just as long as it weighs more than the MX518, which I imagine most wireless mice will due to the battery.

The only thing that puts me off the G700 are the chunky looking buttons near the LMB.

Doesn't have a wired alternative and is very pricey. It is however the best wireless gaming mouse I've used and has 2 hot-swapable re-chargeable batteries.
