Biting the bullet this week and going to purchase a new pc.

Budget 1000-1200...can exceed slightly if neccessary ...I do want value for money.... not just burning cash for the sake of it.

What I find hard to distinguish between is the differences in price for diff manufacturers/warranty/gb of cards/cpus/ clock frequencies... I need you to see all past that and recommend me ones that are value for money.

I basically want to be able to play Bf3 on ultra settings (maxed out, but only required for 1080p monitor)... I know whether 1 580 is capable or not is a point of contention.... but a nice constant 45fps or above and I'm extremely happy...if 580 can't do it then so be it... just so you know where I'm at... this is the most important component right now for my gaming needs. Would consider upgrading when next gen comes out though if it's worthwhile..1 year down the line maybe....

Not Required

a. monitor - I have a 24" dell 1080p led 50hz monitor with hdmi / dvi input
b. Keyboard / Mouse - will buy a mouse separately...
c. sound card (will get inbuilt mobo)
d. network card
e. sound system / headset.

required

1. Computer Case - decided on this one...

2. windows 7 OS - no idea what bit?? is 64 bit standard these days??

3. 1TB hdd, a greater capacity is fine if difference in price is marginal - baring in mind it's going to be optimised for gaming and would like it to load BF3 maps at a reasonably quick speed..only likely to have 300GB of storage on it so 1tb is sufficient.

4. motherboard - people keep saying Azrock, so either that or go with Asus or MSI? I won't be using on board graphics as will buy a dedicated gfx card for gaming...would be nice to overclock using motherboard features.
MUST be PCIE............ would appreciate information on why you are choosing this board - baring in mind I want it to be compatible with pcie3 / new gen graphics cards .... will it work with IVY bridge??

5. cpu - everyone keeps saying i5 2500 k..... if this still stands true let me know, don't know if there is point buying higher clocked ones at higher price - is this because people don't want to overclock themselves??

6. graphics card - after much deliberation I have decided on a gt580... 2gb at least...I would like one with batman arkham city bundle too if possible - value for money...will not be SLI'ing.....

7. Ram 8GB - not sure what I am looking for at all here tbh...reliability/speed/price...lifetime warranty would be very cool but not essential.

8. psu - powerful enough for a gt580 2gb... I'd say at least 850watt?? Preference is for Corsair. I want it to be powerful enough to support the new gen of gfx cards and CPU - ivybridge chips I keep reading...

9.possibly a watercooler for cpu if it is to be overclocked (e.g. if we go with a 2500k?)

10. Standard DVD drive - black

thank you all in advance....
can I ask that you link me up to the URL of the product with a total price at the end :)

Only thing I changed was that I went with this bundle instead of the case/psu/cooler separately... turns out I was getting the cooler anyway and I already had been considering that case + psu....
