Ok this will be my first build, i basically want a pc which is capable of handling latest games but will not only be specifically used for gaming. Looking to spend no more than £800 on base unit. Heard new Intel Core 2 DUO were good for gaming? Oh and i would like ability for a good stable overclock. So if anyone can recommend components etc i would be grateful.

If i am going to overclock the cpu with the specs above, how high would i be able to overclock the cpu to so its stable? Also would this require additional coolers and a better cpu cooler? I only want to overclock slightly, bearing this in mind could anyone recommend me some better coolers. If i was to overclock slighty how high would the cpu overclock without using additional coolers etc and still be stable?

Final spec!!!

Ok the above is the final spec i will be ordering and building in a couple of weeks. Can anyone comment on how well it should overclock (nothing great but just a small overclock to get bit extra performance) and if all components are well suited for this. Will i also need additional cooling and a good cpu cooler if i was to overclock slightly or not? Any recommendations?

should overclock ok a lot of people do change the cooler on ATI gfx card though because they are so noisy

Stelly
